Abstract

Pandora is a Danish Jewelry company that has grown from a small jewelry store in Copenhagen to a global company with more than 32.000 employees and have stores in more than 100 countries. Pandora is known for its handmade jewelry, including the charm bracelet, which has gained popularity around the world. Pandor’s mission is to offer woman around the world an endless world of high-quality jewelry that they can tailor to their personal style and history. The company place a strong emphasis on sustainability and social responsibility and has established a strong core value including pride, passion, and innovation. Which their strong brand, vision and mission, Pandora is on their way to become the world’s favorite jewelry brand. Pandora has identified four growth pillars in their Phoenix strategy, namely brand, design, personalization, and core markets, which will influence their financial objective in the US market. In addition, Pandora will be guided by four values, which is dream, enable, do it together and make a difference. These values will help Pandora Achieve its goals and build a long-term relationship with both existing and new customers, witch a particular focus on generation Z. Pandora introduces the Phoenix strategy in May 2021 to deliver sustainable and profitable revenue growth and give a voice to people’s love. The strategy is based on four pillars: brand, design, personalization, and core markets. Pandora is one of the leading jewelry companies in the world, but it faces competition from other jewelry manufacturers and retailers. Pandora’s product range and ability to capitalize on trends and consumers preferences has been one of its strengths in the US market, and its pricing has attracted a broad of spectrum of consumers. However, they also face challenges such as increased competition, changing consumer preferences and potential economic and political influences. Pandora is a company that uses advanced technological solutions and information system to support its research and development, production, marketing, sales, and customer service. They have a complex value chain involving various activities and support functions such as human resources, technology, procurement, quality management and corporate governance. Pandora has strategic resources such as brand capital, design and product development competencies, manufacturing and supply chain competencies, distribution and retail competencies that are essential for their competitiveness and success in the market. Overall, Pandora can create value for customers and gain a competitive advantage in the U.S Jewelry market. Technological advances and data analytics can lead to product innovation and market understanding. Sustainability, circular economy, climate change and environmental regulations can affect the supply chain and production methods, and its important for Pandora to remain aware of these factors. Legal factor such as product compliance, consumer protection and trade policy and customs are also essential for the company’s success. Careful consideration of all these factors can help Pandora maintain competitive advantage and remain a leading player in the U.S market. Pandora’s resources and capabilities are valuable and rare but can potentially be emulated by competitors. To maintain its competitive advantage, Pandora must continue to focus on innovation and differentiation and protecting its unique designs and trademarks. It should continue to build and nature its customer base through personalized customer experiences and increased interaction on social media and digital platforms. Pandora must also continue to develop its manufacturing and supply chain capabilities to ensure efficiency and reliability in the production and delivery of jewelry to the market. It is also important to attract and retain talented employees and strengthen their organizational capacity and culture. Pandora’s internal and external strategic factors have been crucial to their success and growth in recent years. Their focus on personalized and unique, investment in e-commerce and digital platforms, and optimization of supply chain and production have enabled them to differentiate themselves and create a strong position in the market. Their external strategy facors, such as expanding into new markets and leveraging social media, have been key to increasing their market share and building stronger relationship with customers.
