Abstract
This thesis addresses the perception of digital designs and illustration industry workers on the introduction of AI tools. Doing so as a means of identifying tradeoffs between concerns and appeasements as a means of informing industry stakeholders and local legislators.
Current literature demonstrates a gap in the transformation of creative industries as a consequence of the introduction of digital artefacts. In an inductive qualitative and explorative approach, this thesis based itself on exploring the unaddressed elements of the context of such an environment. Utilising our collected primary data as a point of departure for discussion we have identified sentiments relating to the notion that these tools have mixed opinions in the perspectives of its introduction. The thematic analysis based on the resulting information identifies the tradeoffs between concerns and appeasements workers have. This information enabled the discussion of potential alternatives and solutions to these fears in hopes of encouraging AI collaboration within these industries. However, additional research is proposed in order to further validate findings in this creative context.
