One of the main theorists on business models, Afuah, has been used for this analysis. During the production of this thesis, it was discovered that Tesla Motors has two main products – The well known Tesla Roadster and their core innovation, the battery pack. In order to answer the research questions, the conclusion had to be made on both products. The main issue in the conclusion is collaboration and the barriers of collaboration. But also the evolvement and future of Tesla Motors is important. The main challenge of the thesis has been to gather reliable empirical data for the analysis.
