Abstract
Originally the company started out as Football Club København A/S back in 1992, and the business were only related to football. In March 1997 Flemming Østergaard entered together with a group of investors and basically took over the company. From that day the company started to grow, and in 1999 the company name were changed to what it is today, Parken Sport & Entertainment A/S. Prior to that, in 1997, the company was registered at the Danish stock exchange in Copenhagen, and in 1998 the company bought the Danish national stadium in Copenhagen, PARKEN for just 138 mio DKK. Recently other major business areas has been included in the concern, Lalandia Rødby (2004) & Lalandia Billund (2009) a fully equipped holiday resort, the Fitness-chain Fitness.dk (2006) with fitness centers all over Denmark The major business areas in the company are related to entertainment in various segments. The segments in the core business area are: • PARKEN, including FCK, Events & Entertainment • Lalandia, Rødby & Billund • Fitness.dk
