Internationalisation at Copenhagen Business School: An explorative study on experiences of identity and learning

Abstract

The objective of this thesis is to present an in-depth analysis of the implications of the internationalisation of higher education at Copenhagen Business School (from now on CBS), focusing mainly on the discourse of internationalisation created by both the institution and the international fulltime students. Together with the discourses of internationalisation, I will also focus on the understandings of learning and the identity transformations those students’ experience. My purpose with this thesis is to look at three dimensions of internationalisation, which are societal, institutional and individual, and to integrate them in my research. I will research in the societal influences in learning and identity formation within a Higher Education Institution (from now on HEI), in this case CBS.
