Abstract

WeRide, an autonomous driving technology company established in 2017, designed a full-stack self-driving technology platform “WeRide One.” Capitalizing on the platform, the company built up multiple business lines, including robotaxis, autonomous buses, and autonomous freight vehicles, with partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), mobility platforms, government entities, and R&D and operation centres worldwide. In 2024, WeRide became the world’s first publicly listed universal autonomous driving technology company and the first publicly listed robotaxi company, trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market. In a rapidly changing global transportation industry, what should WeRide’s strategic roadmap look like?
