Abstract

Serial entrepreneurs receive a lot of attention in the press and for good reason. They open a substantial 25% of all new firms, and serial entrepreneurs are much more successful than novice founders. This article provides empirical evidence of their importance and success and then offers theoretical reasons accounting for their value.
