Abstract
This TREO paper is part of an ongoing study on the future of disruptive technologies. The study focuses on the perceptions of practitioners and academics regarding the future of four disruptive technologies, namely Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Quantum Computing and Drones and Robots. Specifically, it sheds light on the effects that future developments of these technologies may have on organisations. It is based on the data collected during a World Café workshop in an academic conference, with participants being both academics and practitioners. The paper employs qualitative research methods in order to provide emerging themes regarding the future of disruptive technologies.
