Abstract

Cohen wrote his book Power and Pluralism in International Law: Private International Law and Globalization for political scientists, political economists and international relations scholars to learn about Private International Law’s function in the global political economy. The book’s main objective is to study the ‘dynamics of law and power in the global political economy by focusing on the role of International Law in the construction of the contemporary global system’, especially the ‘central but still mostly overlooked dimension of law and legality in contemporary global capitalism – the role of Private International Law’ (p. 4).
