Abstract
This is the second of a two-case series (310-265-1 and 310-266-1). The case provides a comprehensive analysis of the circumstances around the demise of Lehman Brothers from its position as a major franchise in the global financial industry. In doing so, the case gives an outline for general risk considerations, assesses the development in Lehman''s reported exposures during 2006-07, and discusses how risk was governed by senior management and the board in the period up to September 2008.
