Abstract
As many Icelanders were returning from their summer holidays in late August 2018, Icelandair made waves with some big news. The group’s CEO, Björgólfur Jóhannsson, had just resigned after announcing an EBIT loss of $19.8 million in the second quarter and lowering target profits 8% to $80 million.
