Abstract
Law and mathematics have the common goal of reaching an ideal order. The only difference between law and mathematics is seen in the methods used in these two notions in order to reach this goal. Law and mathematics are essential in our daily lives. They play an important role in our decisions and our experiences. Laws can be explained in mathematical terms by applying universal language of mathematics to law. Therefore the developments in the field of law may be followed easily in the international framework. Moreover, with the help of mathematics, long laws may be expressed in a shorter form and different perspectives may be developed. It is considered that both mathematical analysis of cases and mathematical expression of the laws help judges of the British American Legal System and Continental Legal System to take effective decisions; they also contribute to the application of deterrent sanctions. However, it is difficult to find the mathematical expression of each legal concept. Although this situation may be seen as a negative aspect of mathematical expression of laws, it may be stated that positive aspects of this study are overwhelming
