Abstract

This panel addresses OB/HR research in Latin America by discussing the state of art in several research areas such as employee mobility and turnover, leadership, feedback seeking and sharing, negotiations, health and wellbeing, and HR reporting. In covering a broad range of micro-, meso- and macro-level topics, and discussing the main challenges and opportunities of conducting research on these topics cross-culturally, specifically in the context of Latin America, the panel hopes to engage a broad audience in multi-way conversation. Taking a birds-eye, meta-perspective but remaining grounded in the concrete research experiences of prominent panelists, the session promises to be relevant not only to practicing researchers in these specific topic areas, but also to most OB/HR—and management—scholars working outside of the North American context.
