Abstract

This panel, sponsored by SIG OSRA and SIG DITE, explores the alignment between IS/IT-enabled organizational transformation (ITOT) and digital transformation in the IS field. Rather than focusing solely on empirical evidence, the panel engages a variety of AIS leaders and senior scholars from different regions to discuss how the field can progress. The goal is to foster alignment within the IS community, which is essential for advancing theoretical and practical contributions in technology-induced organizational change. By providing rigorous guidance and conceptual clarity, the IS field can become a recognized reference discipline for other fields studying technologically-induced change.
