Abstract

This document refers to deliverable D4.2 Cross-border and macro-regional study. The deliverable presents the review of selected existing initiatives in the two related domains of cross- border and macro-regional initiatives internationally and in the EU, including some considerations about the cross-border and macro-regional elements tackled in the SECreTour sister projects. The study then reflects on the presence of the cross-border theme in the work conducted in the other areas of the SECreTOUR project, namely the pilot cases developed in WP3, the research on heritage communities carried out in WP1 and the innovative business models studied in WP2. Finally, initial considerations are presented about the workshop on cross-border and macro-regions for cultural tourism, with a tentative programme of the event that will be hosted by partner USI in Lugano in October 2025.
