Abstract

The article presents a case study on the responses of the five organizational units of Danish brewery company Carlsberg A/S to alcohol-related harm. It examines the interpretations of each unit on the issue and the factors for their varied response to the issue. The four models of response to institutional complexity derived from separation, co-existence, industry bricolage and organizational bricolage are discussed.
