Abstract

Battista Severgnini is an Associate Professor at the Copenhagen Business School. He sat down for an interview at the 2024 AEA poster session to talk about the intergenerational transmission of values and income. He found that when a grandparent was laid off in Denmark, it could cut the intergenerational transmission of income to grandchildren by as much as 25 percent.
