This paper explores how an analytical strategy combining Deleuze and Luhmann drawing on Deleuze’s reading of Foucault’s archaeolo-gy of science and Luhmann’s concept of distinction. Based on a curi-osity about the tensions and contradictions in a modern post-bureaucratic organization the analytical strategy is applied on an em-pirical field study of observations and interviews in a Danish organi-zation in the financial industry.
