Making Oceans count in the Nordic financial system

The Ocean Asset Metrics and Data Program aims to combat marine pollution and support a healthier marine environment in Danish and European waters by developing advanced "blue metrics" that help financial and business actors identify environmental risks and sustainable investment opportunities across key blue economy sectors. Expanding beyond shipping to include industries like offshore renewables and seafood, the program addresses a range of marine pressures—from pollution to biodiversity loss—while aligning private sector actions with evolving regulations. As part of the broader Making Oceans Count initiative, and supported by CBS and HUB Ocean, the program strengthens Nordic and EU marine governance and connects with global sustainability efforts.
