Activity: Talk or presentation › Lecture and oral contribution
Description
Public health issues are increasingly viewed as an integral part of sustainable development goals. Food production and consumption today cannot be regarded as sustainable, nor are the modern Western diets spreading worldwide exactly healthy. It pays to take a nexus view from a consumer perspective and think about policy instruments that could help steer consumption patterns in healthier and less environmentally damaging directions. In this talk, I will share some results from ongoing EU research projects, including I.Family and Nudge-it as well as some activities of the German Bioeconomy Council, the German Council of Sustainable Development and the Advisory Council of Consumer Affairs that try to tackle these issues.
