Pathways to Impact: Lessons Learned from Successful International Research Proposals in the Social Sciences

This presentation for the National Impact Meeting Organised by the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, aims at illustrating my experience as a Research Manager of the CRESTCo research project in collaboration with Dr. Hermann Rapp and B.I.S.S. Research Ltd. My speech aims at presenting the way impact was built within the CRESTCo. project through the active involvement of the target groups within the financial community. The CRESTCo. research takes a departure from the 20th anniversary of CREST (now Euroclear UK & Ireland) in 2016 to explore the relevance of accounting technologies in the creation of markets. CREST is the single, most important settlement system in the UK and Irish markets to this day. The research won private funds from British Telecom (BT), the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), Euroclear, the SWIFT Institute and Travers Smith.
