Can I Say That?

Activity: Talk or presentation › Lecture and oral contribution

Description

In this talk, drawing on insights from her latest book Can I Say That?, Dr. Poornima Luthra explores the growing backlash and resistance to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her research shows that much of this resistance is not rooted in opposition to fairness itself, but in fear - fear of saying the wrong thing, being judged, losing status, or getting it wrong in public. Rather than framing DEI as a battleground, she reframes it as an invitation: to move beyond defensiveness, and build the courage and humility required for real progress. The talk offers a thoughtful and practical lens on what is holding us back, and what it will take to move forward.

Executive DEI Advisor Sofie Gottlieb will join Poornima Luhra in conversation.
