The aim of this thesis is to explore the relationship between critique and creativity. The study took place in Seville, Spain in a small neighbourhood where a group of people have made a time bank initiative called Moneda social puma. This initiative was created because of a critique to the current economical system as well as the common concept of economy. The empiric foundation is based on a field study being a part of the initiative in Seville, Spain for 1,5 months. This resulted in including 13 semi-structured interviews with different people from the organizing group as well as regular members of the initiative, field observations and 1 film, which includes 6 of the interviews as well as the context of the initiative. The analysis is divided into four parts. The first and second part is an introducing part that focuses on theory concerning critique and creativity. The third part is through a critical approach to the theory presented in the first and second part presenting a sociology regarding critique. The fourth and last part is analysing the case to challenge how critique can be transformed into management strategy. The conclusion is that the different forms, critique and creativity, can be seen in the initiative. Critique is seen as the foundation, which creates a safe space for creativity to explore. Creativity is therefore seen as supposing critique. In the development of the social currency the critique towards the economical system in Spain created a community, which took shape as a safe room where the social currency could develop.
