Abstract

The social entrepreneurship process requires the acquisition of resources in order for the social entrepreneurs to translate their vision into concrete achievements. Often, social entrepreneurs do not possess these resources themselves. Through social connections in their network, their can obtain valuable tools and means with the help of which they can carry out their social mission. However, for social entrepreneurs to rely on these benefits, social connections need to be secured and stabilised, as much as the dynamics and changeable nature of the network allow for it. Adopting actor-network theory and social capital theory as a framework, this thesis will look into the case of a still young social enterprise, to understand empirically how the social entrepreneurship process unfolds thanks to the mobilisation and accumulation of resources in their network.
