Abstract

In this backstory editorial, we reflect on our journey in getting our theory of digital agility (Salmela et al., 2022) published in the Journal of the Association for Information Systems (JAIS) from its starting point as a literature review. We extract some of the lessons learned from the challenges we faced during the process with the hope that they may be useful for others facing similar challenges.
