Abstract
This chapter discusses the significance of global and inclusive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) research. The author reflects on personal and academic experiences to demonstrate how diversity, equity, and inclusion scholarship benefits from diverse voices and varied cultural perspectives. The chapter examines the interplay between practice and theory in diversity, equity, and inclusion research, emphasizing the importance of studying contextually bound yet globally relevant phenomena. Through case studies on gender representation in corporate leadership and social entrepreneurship, the study highlights the role of structural inequalities in shaping workplace diversity. The chapter calls for interdisciplinary and cross-cultural collaborations to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion research and policy development.
