On how Organization Happens: Entrepreneuring as Organisation-Creation

    Abstrakt

This paper aims at making a contribution to the study of how organization happens by focusing on the entrepreneurship-creativity relationship. I do this by developing a processual conceptualisation of a form of entrepreneurial creativity called entrepreneuring, defined as organisation-creation. Such a processual conceptualisation of entrepreneuring will answer to a long-standing call in entrepreneurship research for an enhanced capacity to study organisation-in-creation (Katz and Gartner, 1988). I believe recent advances in process thinking, in organisation studies have provided us, finally, with such ‘changes in our perceptions and methodologies,’ (Ibid., p. 437) meaning we have now a capacity to step up to this challenge. This, I hope, will also be a contribution to how we can rethink organization processually by placing entreprenuring more at the centre.
