Abstrakt
Whilst there is a surge of mergers and acquisitions across different industries, little is known about their supply chain implications. This research investigates how supply chains can be reconfigured during post-merger period. In so doing, a recent M&A was investigated using a supply chain perspective. The research contributes to the literature by developing an empirically grounded, theory-based narrative of post-merger supply chain integration process. In particular, the paper demonstrates how the supply chain as a whole drew on structural, cognitive and relational elements of social capital to absorb the acquired firm and its wider supply chain.
