Boundary Organizations and SMEs: University - Industry Relations i Denmark

In the knowledge society the production of knowledge is seen as the most important factor of production. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the concept of research collaboration in a broad context - with the intention of pinpointing organizational, political and managerial forces influencing the level of research collaboration and derived level of innovation in Denmark.The thesis sets out in an international setting analyzing and investigating the producers of knowledge on a broad theoretical foundation. Firstly, time is devoted to examining the framework of three entities, namely industry, universities and society.
