They include terminal operations, hinterland logistics, and knowledge labs for maritime clusters as well as digital innovation and emerging technologies. The chapter briefly describes the technologies and their supply chain management-enabling capabilities. Blockchain is essentially an information technology that enables supply chain management. Digital innovations are the engines for a digital transformation of our life, focusing on the customer and their data as well as on networking and integration. Remote Container Management is a device installed on a refrigerated container, which collects data from the reefer controller and sends it to a central server.
