Abstract
The anxiety and negative use of social media users are a new social phenomenon that has emerged with information overload. Based on the social penetration theory, this paper constructs a model of influencing factors of social media users' anxiety, lurking behavior and information privacy concerns. It uses the questionnaire survey method to conduct an empirical study, collect survey data, and conduct statistical analysis on the data, effectively verifying the applicability of the model and research hypotheses. The study shows that social media users' anxiety and lurking behavior are positively affected by social comparison and perceived risk and negatively affected by performance expectations; anxiety positively affects lurking behavior and information privacy concerns; lurking behavior does not have a significant impact on information privacy concerns.
