PEOPLE4CITIES

PEOPLE4CITIES reimagines citizen led urban sustainability by leveraging the transformative potential of generative AI, immersive
technologies, and participatory frameworks. The project aims to shift urban paradigms, aligning public behavior with sustainable
practices, empowering a diverse group of citizens, policymakers with actionable insights rooted in community knowledge and needs,
and equipping cities with replicable models for achieving low-carbon futures.
The project will develop the P4C Digital Tool and support the development of P4C prototype solutions through a synergistic
approach combining action research, collaborative stakeholder engagement, and cutting-edge technical platforms. The project will
involve comprehensive context analysis and stakeholder mapping to establish baseline conditions and ensure diverse representation
towards a robust platform that can be deployed in the pilot locations. Engaging citizens, planners, and experts, participatory
workshops will aim to co-create urban scenarios, which will be brought to life through captivating generative AI visualizations to
facilitate rich immersive experiences where citizens will learn and interact with future scenarios of sustainable developments for the
built environment. Iterative innovation and rigorous evaluation will be central, drawing inspiration from and contributing to the
existing Built4People and New European Bauhaus (NEB) frameworks. In sum, PEOPLE4CITIES prioritizes citizen participation and cocreation, leverages AI and data analytics for informed decision-making, employs immersive technologies and smart city solutions,
focuses on achieving tangible, measurable sustainability outcomes, and develops scalable and transferable models for other urban
contexts.
