Beskrivelse
The aim of the research project is to empirically investigate how components of both markets and
networks can be configured into partnership structures in Pay for Success-programs (PFS) to utilize public
innovation. The PhD-applicant, Mikkel Munksgaard Andersen, will conduct a case study of PreCare, which
is a Danish research- and innovation project that seeks to develop a PFS-program to create and finance
new preventive health interventions for rising risk-citizens. A dual cycle action research design is adopted
to conduct research activities in an interlinked relation with practitioner-oriented problem-solving
activities. This process will be assisted by a mixed methods approach for data collection and analysis. The
research project is expected to be co-financed by the practitioner-organization, Region Zealand, and the
research institution CBS. It builds on early insights from PreCare and international PFS-programs within
healthcare, indicating a specific potential for developing proactive and preventive health interventions
through PFS-programs.
