Sustainability in International Education

Beskrivelse

Internationalization places a high premium on shifting students and faculty around the globe using air travel. Furthermore, the trend is towards more widespread, shorter mobilities so the total load on the planet from our activities will rise. At the same time universities are in the vanguard of not only advising on climate change and modelling the dangers of global temperature rise but also education the next generation. It’s a genuine dilemma: do we internationalize and ruin the planet or do we conserve resources and deprive our students of the benefits we had.
