The goal of the proposed paper is to explore the phenomenon of digitalization in relation to film. The paper will address two key questions. First, how should we define digitalization in purely conceptual terms? And second, how should we understand the impact of digitalization on both the medium of film and the people who make and watch films? In order to understand the impact of digitalization on both films and viewers, this paper will consider some of the aesthetic and psychological implications respectively.
